What is a drill?
Drill is a very widely used tool whose main task is to drill holes on different surfaces and materials such as wood, materials and all kinds of metals. Today, we see a wide variety of gadgets and tools that are connected to the drill and are used for various processes such as cutting, opening and closing screws, grinding and polishing. Drills have been used by humans for many years.
hammer drill
It has probably happened to you that you want to install something on the wall and you have to drill a hole in the wall but you don't succeed. Sometimes it happens that the tip of the drill gets red due to the heat generated by the friction, but you still do not succeed in drilling. The reason is clear because building materials such as concrete and stone are very hard. Although these materials, in addition to high hardness, also have high fragility, which is the key to solving the problem.
In fact, in hammer drills, at the same time as the drill rotates, it is hit repeatedly and with a large number, which causes a small-scale fracture in the contact surface of the drill tip with stone or concrete. Of course, it should not be said that you will need a special diamond drill for drilling with a hammer drill, because the tips of these drills are made of very hard and resistant alloys and do not change shape due to impact. Hammer drills are better than ordinary electric drills. They are more powerful and usually have a higher price. In the picture below, you can see a type of hammer drill.

column drill
Another type of drill that we intend to examine in this section is column drill. Column drills are among the workshop and completely industrial tools. The main use of column drills is vertical and 90 degree drilling with high precision. The power of column drill is much more than ordinary electric drills, some of which also have a three-phase motor. In the side part of this type of drills, there is a lever or blade that moves the drill up and down by turning it. It provides the possibility of drilling.
